Cronhub shuts down June 30, 2026

Dead-simple cron job
heartbeat monitoring

Your cron jobs send a ping. If a ping is missed, you get alerted on Telegram instantly. No alert fatigue. No per-monitor pricing. From $9/mo.

Free tier available · 3 monitors · No credit card required

terminal

# Add a one-liner to your crontab

$ curl -fsS -m 10 --retry 5 https://pingduty.dev/ping/abc123

# That's it. If the ping stops, you get a Telegram alert:

@PingDutyBot

ALERT · db-backup has not pinged in 15 minutes

Expected every 10m · Last ping: 2026-04-17 14:30 UTC

Why PingDuty

Monitoring that stays out of your way

Built for developers who want to know when something breaks — and nothing else.

Unique

Telegram-Native Alerts

Get instant alerts in Telegram — where DevOps teams already live. No email noise, no SMS fees. Just fast, silent push notifications.

Quiet by Default

Alert fatigue is the #1 complaint in cron monitoring. PingDuty only pings you when something is genuinely wrong. No noise, no false alarms.

Migration

Cronhub Import

Export your Cronhub config and import it into PingDuty in one click. All your monitors, schedules, and grace periods — migrated in seconds.

Flat $9/mo Pricing

No per-monitor fees. No surprise bills. 50 monitors for $9/month, flat. That's 3x cheaper than Cronitor and simpler than all alternatives.

Setup in 30 Seconds

Add a single curl to your crontab. No agents, no SDKs, no config files. If your job runs, it pings. If it doesn't, you know immediately.

Grace Periods

Jobs run a little late sometimes. Set a grace period per monitor so you only get alerted when something is actually broken, not just slow.

How It Works

Three steps. Thirty seconds.

01
01

Create a Monitor

Name it, set the expected interval (e.g. every 5 minutes), and optionally set a grace period.

02
02

Add a Ping to Your Job

Append a single curl command to your cron job. It hits your unique PingDuty URL on every run.

Get Alerted on Telegram

If the ping doesn't arrive on time, PingDuty sends you a Telegram message. That's it.

Cronhub Migration

Cronhub is shutting down.
We make switching painless.

Cronhub confirmed that all paid subscriptions will be cancelled on May 31, 2026, and the service will fully close on June 30, 2026. Export your Cronhub configuration and import it into PingDuty with one click — all your monitors, schedules, and grace periods come over automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the heartbeat monitoring work?
Your cron job makes an HTTP request (a 'ping') to a unique PingDuty URL after each successful run. PingDuty watches for these pings. If one doesn't arrive within the expected interval plus your grace period, we alert you.
Why Telegram instead of email or SMS?
Email alerts get buried. SMS costs money. Telegram is instant, free, silent by default, and already used by millions of developers. You get push notifications on your phone without the noise.
Can I import my Cronhub configuration?
Yes! Export your monitors from Cronhub as JSON, upload the file to PingDuty, and all your monitors will be created automatically with the same schedules and grace periods.
What happens if PingDuty itself goes down?
PingDuty runs on redundant infrastructure with its own uptime monitoring. We're transparent about our status and uptime history. If we can't check your pings, we'll let you know.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. You can monitor up to 3 cron jobs for free with email alerts. No credit card required, no time limit.
